We have chosen to create above all a childfriendly home
At the first floor you'll find three big bedrooms : 2 bedrooms with double bed, en 1 bedroom with two single beds.
The bathroom aswell as the bedrooms lead to the hall/lobby which has underfloor heating. Also the bathroom has underfloor heating.
At the groundfloor you'll find a big table with 8 chairs, a big livingroom, a bureau for your correspondence, alswell a big kitchen wit a Smeg cooker.
The groundfloor leads to a small patio, which bring coolness to the house. On top of the house is a 60 m2 terrace with stunning views of the surrounding village and mountains.
As we have little children we adapted the house and provided usefull stuff for them:
- gates up and down the stairs
- two highchairs
- one relax
- two cods
- playground and toys
- babycook
- babybad
- umbrella for the buggy
In wintertime the house is heated by a woodburning stove. The wood is available without extra costs.
As the owners have themselves little children, the house is adapted with lots of details like a gate at the entrance of the staircase or a sandbox in the patio.
Because the property is located in a pedestrian street, it is a very quiet neighbourhood, but it is only 100 mts from the village square. Around and at the village square you'll find several bars and restaurants to have a meal or a drink with tapa. Our favorite is Paco's.
The village of El Borge has plenty of things to offer, but for those who want to visit the Alhambra in Granada (tickets at http://www.alhambra-patronato.es/), the Mezquita in Cordoba or the Cathedral in Seville, it is no further than 2 and a half hours a way by car.
The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
They still serve an unasked - and often free - tapa (small dish) with your drink in the local bars.
For the culture seekers there is the Alhambra in Granada, the Cathedral in Seville and the Mezquita in Cordoba. All within reasonable distance for a daytrip from El Borge.

Skiing is possible in the Sierra Nevada in the Granada province. Leaving El Borge you can be wihtin 3 hours on your ski's. We recommend to leave on time as it is a 2 1/2 hour drive.

Dia de la Pasa: the third sunday of september. On the Dia de la Pasa you'll see folkloric events and singing, lots of stalls and free wine and raisins to promote their products.

From 20th of june to 15th of september the municipal 25 meter pool is open for public
Horse riding can be done on donkeys or mules, that take you for a guided trip into the countryside (according to the season, so please inquire the possibilities)

We ask a 250 € cash deposit (warrant). At the end of your holiday the deposit is refunded minus 75 € to cover cleaning, gas, water, logs and electricity
